PERIPHERY Interviewed On 'Rusty Cooley's Guitar Asylum TV'
April 4, 2011The latest episode of "Rusty Cooley's Guitar Asylum TV" is now available online. This week's guest is the Maryland-based experimental, progressive metal six-piece PERIPHERY.
In segment one, PERIPHERY discusses the concept of being a three-guitarist band, something that is totally out of the box in the metal world. Segment two contains another exciting master guitar class with Rusty Cooley while segment three features guitar guru Mike Nedd offering tips on how to successfully set up a guitar correctly.
"Rusty Cooley's Guitar Asylum TV" is a 30-minute television show headquartered in Houston, Texas.
PERIPHERY will release a new EP, "Icarus Lives", on April 19 via Sumerian Records. This CD features a brand new unreleased track, a series of remixes and video clips.

PERIPHERY's self-titled debut album sold around 4,500 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 128 on the Billboard 200 chart. The CD landed at No. 2 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.
PERIPHERY is touring North America alongside FAIR TO MIDLAND and SCALE THE SUMMIT.
